HTC ha rilasciato oggi un comunicato stampa a sorpresa nel quale viene annunciata la collaborazione con TomTom.

Questa collaborazione prevede quindi l’utilizzo delle mappe della TomTom sui top gamma di HTC , Desire,Desire HD e Desire Z.

A quanto pare c’è la possibilità di salvare le mappe sulla scheda e di consultarle offline.

Ecco una parte del comunicato:

“HTC and TomTom have worked closely to optimize these amazing capabilities on HTC smartphones through our new HTC Locations application” said John Wang, Chief Marketing Officer, HTC Corporation. Initially, maps and location content will be directly available and stored on HTC Locations application while turn-by-turn navigation will be available for purchase and download through HTC Locations or HTC Sync"
